All Is Now Set for President Jonathan To Declare for 2015

One reason why I love the Yorubas is that majority of them are not sycophants. If you are not doing well for the good of the country, the Yorubas will tell you, whether you are their brother or sister, it doesn't matter.

Those who criticised ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo the most during his tenure are the Yorubas. But what I see in many other tribes, especially the Ijaws at the moment, is that President Goodluck Jonathan makes not a single mistake. If you try to point out any of his wrongs, you are an enemy. Tribalism at its height!

Anyway, a source told MrTolulope.Com that all is set for President Jonathan to declare his 2015 ambition as his people, the South-South Peoples Assembly (SSPA) have called on him to as a matter of urgency declare to contest the 2015 presidential election.

Rising from its meeting at the Asokoro residence of Chief Edwin Clark, the group claimed that Jonathan had the constitutional right to re-contest for the presidency come 2015.

“We reaffirm our resolve and commitment to the content, letters and spirit of the “Calabar Declaration. We call on President Jonathan to contest the 2015 presidential election in consonance with section 131 of the 1999 Constitution,” the group said.

“While we appeal to all Nigerians to, in the spirit of national cohesion and solidarity, give their support to President Jonathan, we wish to reassure Mr. President of the solid and unflinching support of the people of the South-south geo-political zone.”
A source who was at the meeting, said the call by the SSPA is the "real one" Jonathan has been waiting for.
