Chad had deployed a contingent of its
troops to Cameroon on January 17 to help in the fight against Boko Haram
incursions into the latter country.
A statement
released by Chad’s military revealed that the attack occurred near the
border town of Fotokol on Thursday, January 29 and Friday, 30.
“The
enemy was repelled by our defensive forces,” the statement said, adding
that the terrorists were "routed" by troops in the second attack.
