Student Kills His Dad Inside Redeemed Church Camp In Lagos

Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 21yrs old undergraduate, Tolani Ajayi, of Redeemers University at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, for allegedly killing his father, Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The incident, according to the police, occurred on Tuesday, July 3, at their residence on Canaanland Street in the premises of Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Redemption Camp.
Tolani was said to have slaughtered his father with a knife and later butchered him with a cutlass. Afterwards he allegedly packed his father’s remains in a box and dragged them into the bush within the camp...

The Pain This Doctors’ Strike Is Causing Is Too Much

About three weeks ago, after a June 10 meeting of the National Officers’ Committee at its National Secretariat, the Nigerian Medical Association came up with a 24-point demand. It called on the Federal Government to meet the demands so as to avoid an indefinite nationwide strike on July 1.

Sunday July 6, 2014, marks the sixth day of the nationwide strike which has crippled health services in various public hospitals across the country and left many patients and their relations lamenting.

Photos: Soldiers on rampage in Palmgrove, damage BRT buses

Some soldiers are currently causing chaos in the Palmgroove area of Lagos. An eye-witness said trouble started when a BRT bus hit a soldier on a bike. Nobody knows if the soldier died (though there are indications that he may have been crushed to death) but other soldiers immediately arrived the scene and started stopping all BRT buses on Ikorodu road beating drivers and sending passengers out. Beating even passers-by who move too close to them or take pictures.
