Pics: Troops on patrol encounter terrorists, kill them, recover arms

Troops on cordon and search along Djimitillo Damaturu road axis on Friday night discovered a Boko Haram hideout near a market. The troops battled with the militants, killing a few of them and recovering machine guns and rifles. Some of the terrorists also died in the fire that gutted the house where they were hiding out at. Unfortunately, a soldier was killed and another one wounded.

One of the girls from popular 90s group, Brownstone, has died

Remember popular 90's song 'If You Love Me..Say It? Well, Charmayne "Maxee" Maxwell, was one of the members of that popular R&B group called Brownstone. She died yesterday Feb. 28th. No word yet on what led to her death but some urban sites are reporting suicide. She was in her 40s. May her soul rest in peace, amen.

Pastor bathes members with detergent and bleach to cleanse them off their sins

A bizarre photo making rounds on the Internet shows a Pastor having a 'sin cleansing' session with his church members.

The yet to be identified pastor is seen wearing a white vest, cradling the heads of his church members one after the other, while another member pours detergent over their heads, rinsing it with 'bottles of bleach' in an attempt to wipe away their sins.

The country where the church is situated is also yet to be revealed.

Female Suicide Bomber Kills 3 in Fresh Borno Bomb Blast

A woman suicide bomber on Saturday killed two passers-by and her accomplice in an attack in northeast Nigeria, witnesses and security sources told AFP.

Moments before the explosion, the female attacker and her accomplice, had tried to board a bus but were stopped by the driver.
“The suicide mission took place at around 1130 am when two women wearing hijabs tried to board a commercial vehicle but the wary driver resisted,” a highly-placed security source said.

For Amina Sani Mudi, a 19-year-old 100-level student of Medicine at the University of Jos, it was unbelievable that she escaped the terror. She said:

An Orile Agege Customary Court in Lagos State has dissolved the 17-year-old marriage between Funmilayo Kareem and her husband, Saliu, over adultery and related issues.

In his judgment, President of the court, Chief Bolarinwa Popoola, held that the marriage ended when the wife left the husband’s house and had a child for another man.

While delivering judgement, the court president said: “Adultery is and has always been a major cause of divorce. This marriage is hereby dissolved with immediate effect.”
