SAY NO TO BAD LYRICS CONFERENCE

SAY NO TO BAD LYRICS campaign was unveiled at the United Nations Information Centre, Lagos on the 4th June 2014 . The campaign was aimed at exposing the roles that music lyrics play in affecting character building and behavior of young people positively or negatively and to advocate to the entertainment industry to promote positive lyrics to help shape or build positive images in youths. In her remarks, the Senior Information Officer of UNIC, Ms Envera Selimovic encouraged the young people present at the event especially girls not to overlook the impact that positive and negative words have on their lives. She urged them to make the best use of their time by connecting to role models that formed their world with positive words and energy.

In order to keep the campaign more effective, a quarterly SAY NO TO BAD LYRICS CONFERENCE has been put in place. This will bring young people together to learn from those that are doing well in entertainment industry as well as those who believe in cause so that many young people can recreate their own world with the investment of their personality.

The Theme for the event is MORE THAN THE BEATS,MORE THAN THE RHYTHMS. The programme is schedule for 13th December 2014 at Yussuf Grillo Auditorium,School of Art,Yaba College of Technology.

The speakers for the event are Nelson Izah, Fola Folayan SAY of Nigeria Info and Sokleva Hughes of Rooftop Mcs.

We believe this cause will inspire many young people to re affirm their commitment to themselves in becoming the change that will inspire their world.
