Boko Haram fights back, explosion kills many in Borno

Whenever this Boko Haram guys say they will attack, just know that they will do it. That is how porous our dear country has become in the hands of these heartless terrorists. Six weeks is counting!

As you read this, a deadly explosion from a bomb that went off in a crowded market in Biu, the largest town in Southern Borno state, has killed many innocent Nigerians, an eyewitness confirmed.

The witnesses said injured persons and corpses were being evacuated to hospital in their numbers.

Thursday is market day in Biu, so you can imagine the level of casualty.

The area is about 185km from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. In fact, this is the first major attack on the town in a long time, just days after the NSA assured us that they will flush out Boko Haram.

A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force helping to evacuate injured ‎persons said many people were killed in the attack, according to Premium Times.

Another witness, Abdullahi Biu, who is also a member of the Civilian-JTF said, “We cannot say how many people got killed here because they are many. And so many people are also injured.”

He said the hospital in Biu has run short of blood to administer the injured who "lost too much blood."

“We are trying to mobilise people to go and volunteer as blood donors in the hospital. There are lots of bodies, some shredded beyond recognition,” he added.
